To recall the sanctity of the building's purpose into its physical design, the building's profile evolves from a four-sided shape when standing at the entrance into a three-sided shape when at the altar. In effect, sunlight enters the interior grounds only as it bends along to the gradually sloping wall.
In place of large openings, numerous small openings are manipulated to reduce heat gain and to allow for maximum natural ventilation. Glulam is featured in the main structure, and most building materials are supplied from the local area.
